Remember when Google bought NIK photo plugins a while back? (This is the software I use in my Photoshop to edit photos) Well, they put that same technology into their Android phones. So you can basically edit the same way on your phone as I do in Photoshop. You would need to transfer your photo from your camera to your phone, but that shouldn't be a problem since cameras are starting to come with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.
So play around with your photos in your phone to get the hang of it. If you edit and save your photo, don't worry, your camera should save a new copy in a different folder so you don't destroy the original.
