Capturing the Elements: Forks

Join the Capturing the Elements™ photography team as they travel to Forks, WA and the surrounding areas of Olympic National Park to photograph some of the most diverse and breathtaking scenery found in one location.
Named after the many forks in nearby rivers, Forks is located in Washington State and was once known primarily as a logging town popular with sport fishermen for its abundance of salmon and rainbow trout. Recently Forks has gained notoriety as the setting for the "Twilight" series of books and movies about vampires and werewolves by author Stephenie Meyer.
What most people don't know about Forks is that it sits between the Pacific Ocean and Olympic National Park, home of some of the most diverse and breathtaking scenery found in one location. With over twelve feet of rain per year, the Forks and Olympic National Park areas are rich with towering waterfalls, crystal clear rivers, and many lakes and streams that feature a unique color of turquoise blue water.
In this standard DVD filmed in high definition, the CTE Team takes you on an exploration of the wonders of Forks - from the large trees and abundant wildlife of the Hoh Rainforest and Sol Duc Falls, to the tall shimmering cascades of Madison and Marymere Falls, to the scenic beaches of Rialto, LaPush, and Mora, and the colorful waters of Lake Crescent, as they document through point and shoot and professional photography their experiences in this popular recreational area complete with campgrounds and a network of hiking trails that lead directly to all the most scenic attractions.
